A smarter, easier approach to track your energy usage.

Inefficient use of energy not only makes you spend more money, it also results in more carbon emissions into the atmosphere. Effective energy monitoring reduces your costs and saves the environment at the same time.

Studies have shown that proactive monitoring of your energy use can cut your consumption by 5% to 20%.

And a 20% cut in energy costs equals to a 5% increase in profits for many businesses.

Starlight™ provides you with real-time and accurate profile of your energy consumption patterns, allowing for closer management of energy use.

Starlight™ gives you:
  • Insights to where and how energy is being used and lost
  • Identify areas where you can reduce energy consumption or stem energy wastage to save money
  • Confirm whether energy-saving measures are working.
Starlight™ makes use of multiple sensor devices that connect to one another automatically to form a wireless network. No cabling or setting up of wireless access points as Starlight. builds and manages its own wireless network. The complete solution has 3 major components:
  • Starlight™ Communicator
  • Starlight™ Power Quality Meter (PQM)
  • Starlight™ Server
The Starlight™ System makes use of multiple Power Quality Meters (PQM) link with Communicators that connect to one another automatically to form a mesh wireless network.
  • Starlight™ Power Quality Meter (PQM)
The Starlight™ Power Quality Meter (PQM) is responsible for measuring power quality & energy consumption data. Each PQM is installed between a power point and a load; it is then connected to a Starlight™ Communicator that transmits data wirelessly. Multiple PQMs can be connected to a single Communicator via an Ethernet hub or switch.
  • Starlight™ Communicator
The Starlight™ Communicator is a low-power high-performance wireless transceiver that performs both data routing and transmission to the central server. It is connected to the Starlight™ sensors via a standard CAT5/6 cable.
Starlight™ Communicators can join and support a self-organizing and self-configuring wireless network using the Zigbee protocol. Each device can both transmit readings measured by a directly connected sensor, and relay data transmitted from other Communicators.

ZigBee is superior to Wi-Fi networking protocol for energy monitoring because:

    • Mesh architecture does not require infrastructure for fixed access points and allows for flexible deployment scenarios in many different building types
    • Low power requirements mean that energy readings will not be distorted by the transmitter’s own power usage
    • Simple network configuration and management allows devices to be added to existing networks with little administrative work
    • Supports robust, fault tolerant mesh networks

Anacle provides 3 versions of Starlight Communicators™, each operating at a different frequency band, for different geographical jurisdictions:
