![]() The Starlight™ Communicator is a low-power high-performance wireless transceiver that performs both data routing and transmission to the central server. It is connected to the Starlight™ sensors via a standard CAT5/6 cable. Starlight™ Communicators can join and support a self-organizing and self-configuring wireless network. Each device can both transmit readings measured by a directly connected sensor, and relay data transmitted from other Communicators. Starlight™ Communicators utilize an efficient architecture that exceeds the dynamic range requirements imposed by the IEEE 802.15.4-2003 standard by over 15dB. the 2.4GHz version provides integrated receive channel filtering, allowing for co- existence with other communication standards in the 2.4GHz spectrum such as IEEE 802.11g and Bluetooth. Low power consumption (deep sleep mode draws less than 1μA)
Usual operating range (depending on version)
Available in 3 versions
